Los Suenos Marina

Los Suenos Marina is by far the most beautiful marina in Costa Rica on the Pacific side. There is a new marina in Quepos, Marina Pez Vela but it is not on the same level as Los Suenos.

The Port of Los Suenos is located on the Central Pacific side, near San Jose, only one hour and fifteen minutes by the new highway.

The marina features many modern amenities and amenities including a 200-room Marriott Hotel, 18-hole golf course, upscale restaurants, boutique shopping and condominium vacation properties to luxury homes available.

Fishing Los Suenos has the option of fishing north or south and also has many options in its own backyard waters. During January, February and March, sailfish and marlin are typically here, making these waters a great place to fish.

Tuna show here mainly in the summer months. The rooster fishing is good at the nearby rock piles and on the side of the Nicoya Peninsula, less than an hour from the marina at Los Suenos, and the bottom fishing is always excellent right in front of Los Suenos.

The key to fishing out of Los Suenos is the number of boat options available here, with boat sizes ranging from 26 feet to luxury yachts to 100 feet, as well as any boat in between.

The coastal fishing here (other than heading to the Nicoya) sucks. Our captains have been pulling some good roosters close by, but it is not as consistent as Golfito. Los Sueños has excellent bottom fishing, and with the captain on the right, each trip can produce 30 to 40+ bottom fish (grouper, snapper, and other excellent fish groceries).

Many of our clients who choose to fish in Los Suenos stay on the beach in Jaco. Jaco is one of the most developed beaches in Costa Rica, retaining its natural beauty.

I’ve never seen so many iguanas or heard so many scarlet macaws crowding. It has a great downtown area full of restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, hotels, condos, and tourist services. Here in Jaco, you can find things like ATV rides, bungee jumping, and zip-line adventures.

Some other cool adventures include an excursion along the Tarcoles River which is home to massive crocodiles and wildlife. Also, a boat trip to the nearby island of Tortuga makes for a great day of snorkeling and putting on the white sand beaches.

Jaco is best known for its surfing and hosts great waves for any level of surfer.

Jaco has hosted many international surfing tournaments and is home to some surf schools along the beach. You will always find dozens of surfers at rest right around the high tide.

Right at the end of the road is Hermosa Beach, which has even better surfing for experienced surfers looking for a challenge. Come to Los Suenos and Jaco on your next trip to Costa Rica and enjoy all you have to offer.
