The bite has been consistent, especially in the early morning hours when conditions are calm and bait is active. Anglers trolling ballyhoo and teasers are seeing the best results.
Mahi mahi (dorado) are also showing up in solid numbers. Most of the action has been around floating debris, current lines, and offshore structures. These fish are providing great table fare and steady rod-bending action, making them a favorite for both experienced anglers and first-time fishermen.
Yellowfin tuna have been another reliable target. Schools of tuna are being found offshore, often associated with birds and dolphin activity. Some larger fish are mixed in, giving anglers a chance at quality catches along with good quantity.
